I’m Penny Richings and I started Ed & Co Designs over 15 years ago to offer beautiful bespoke solutions that breathe new life into soft furnishings. Having spent many years helping my customers change their interior spaces, I understand that transformation can be a daunting step, especially when there are so many fabrics to choose from! It requires careful consideration, love and care which happen over varying lengths of time. For some of my customers, I have custom-made one lampshade and then, soon after, transformed five rooms. For others, I have sewn one blind at a time over a ten- year period. One thing I prioritise is helping my customers to bring their personalities into their home interiors, and that means getting to really know them. Some customers have said to me: “Penny, how did you know I was going to choose that fabric?!” It all comes from creating fun, collaborative experiences and listening closely to understand their ideas, likes, and dislikes. I enjoy supporting my customers through this exciting process.

I completely refurbished a 5 bedroom Georgian farm house in Devon over an 8 month timeframe whilst living and working full time in London. I simply could not have achieved this without Penny and her fantastic team. Penny’s enthusiasm, skill, style and unrivalled knowledge of the intricacies of interior design have led to the creation of a beautiful, comfortable and inviting home for me and my family in Devon. Penny worked with me to ensure that I got what I wanted whilst avoiding expensive mistakes. Her advice was invaluable & her keen eye not just for detail, but the bigger picture about how each room would look has resulted in the use of a harmonious colour pallet throughout the home without sacrificing the individual character of each of the rooms within it. I would happily recommend her to anyone. She is a real “find”.
