Current Status
After periods of examination and testing in 2005 and again in 2009, AGEHR Area II elected to keep
an arms-length separation between its web site services and external services over which it
has no control. The basis of this election is that there are too many opportunities for
external sites to glean private information on users leading to breaches of security, generation
of SPAM, violations of copyrights, exposure of financial, health and demographic metrics and loss
of individual privileges of security and privacy.
As of July 2011, a link to the external service "Facebook" has been added at the request of membership.
No endorsement of any kind is implied by this addition.
If you wish to participate in external services, particularly those identified as social or tracking
services, please establish a personal access account with the service in which you are interested.
If your interest is in promoting Area II with pictures or articles, please submit them to current
Communications Coordinator (found in the People section under the current Board) for inclusion in
the Area II news letter (TTT) or the website.
